Is Bollywood becoming more of Biopic Industry
Bollywood, this word itself is enough to make the crowd go crazy. It is said ke India me sirf teen cheese chalti hai “Bollywood, Cricket or S*x”, guess you all will nod here to this thing.
Bollywood is said to be one of the biggest film industry. We have always loved our Bollywood movies from Don to DDLJ to Pink. Movies do play an important part in our lives. But don’t you think that we are losing the main essence or main ingredients on which the movies are made?
We are talking about the stories, the original stories. Movies like Purab Aur Paschim, Don, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Black and many more were great in their time and did well. And now, it is time to realize that we are losing our industry to make the Biopics.
It’s been a long time now and all we get to hear about is a biopic movie and it seems that 2016 was the year of biopics only. Here we have the list of biopics we witnessed in this year and also the movies which are still yet to come.
The movie is based on the life of spiritual guru Rajneesh Osho.

The plot of this movie revolves around the esteemed and award-winning professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras who taught Marathi at Aligarh Muslim University. He was sacked from his position of Reader and Chair of Modern Indian Languages, due to his sexual orientation.
The movie is inspired by the life of Indian cricketer and former national team captain Mohammad Azharuddin.
The movie is about an Indian man who was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1991 and who spent 22 years in prison for alleged terrorism and spying.

Awaited movie is about Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat.
This was the year of biopic! But don’t you think that we need storytelling! Knowing a story is indeed interesting and we love it. But, due to this the original story telling is vanishing.
