India stands on number one to make “the selfies” turn to “the killfies”!
The selfie craze in India has outgrown way too faster in India than any other country we guess.
We are very much aware of the fact that many people have lost their lives in a deadly manner while taking selfies. According to a study published by US-based Carnegie Mellon University and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology India seventy-six selfie takers have lost their lives!
Also, according to a study titled “Me, Myself and My killfie: Characterizing and Preventing Selfie Deaths”, in the quest of taking coolest and swaggy selfies many people have died in India. With the help of some special techniques, the researchers have confirmed 127 selfie deaths since March 2014.
“(The) clicking dangerous selfies (has proved) to be so disastrous that during the year 2015 alone, there have been more deaths caused due to selfies than shark attacks all over the world,” the researchers said in a blog post.
Pakistan witnessed nine deaths, United States witnessed eight deaths and Russia witnessed six.
What is wrong with everybody? Is the craze of taking a selfie more than that of living a life?
