This acid attack victim rocked the New York Fashion Runway!
19 Year old Acid attack victim, Reshma Quershi set the stage on fire when she stepped on the runway at New York Fashion week. Happy Reshma opened the FTL Moda show on Thursday wearing a beautiful white gown designed by Archana Kochhar.
It was two years back when, this girl lost an eye after being attacked with sulphuric acid by her brutish brother in law and two more men.
Reshma never thought of going to abroad and that too for walking on a ramp in New York! Reshma is the face of an online video campaign of a group, Make Love Not Scars, which help survivors of the gender based crimes.

“I couldn’t believe it was happening to me,” Quereshi said about the trip “In that moment I felt extremely happy.”
It is said that almost 15oo acid attacks are reported every year, but, the executive director of London based charity Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI), said that the numbers are much higher.
It is also said that India has seen the highest number of acid attacks.
“No one else understands what an acid attack is except the survivors themselves,” said Reshma. “I do not want this to happen to anyone else.”
Don’t really understand that why there is an urge to do such crimes, or any of the crime!
Is this how our country is growing! Don’t you think a lot needs to be changed?
Well we are just step away to make a change! It’s just about who’s going to take it!
