Here’s why Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped on the sets of Padmavati!
The set in the pink city was trashed, equipments were broken and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped hard and was made to face the humiliation in front of everyone.
In some unfortunate moments, the Padmavati team which was camping in Jaipur to shoot some segment of the film was attacked by a group of activists who claimed to belong to the Karni Sena. Sources say the attack happened before the call time of the three actors. The news of the assault spread like wildfire along with a shocking video circulating in the social media.
In the viral video, protesters are seen, damaging cameras and raising slogans with some abusive words. It is said that the reason for this protest was because of the presence of some love scenes between Queen Padmavati and Ruler Alauddin Khilji played by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh respectively. The protested Sena claims that Padmavati was a proud queen and is well known for taking her own life rather than giving it to Alauddin Khilji.
It is also said that they want such scenes to be deleted from the movie.
Whole Bollywood fraternity has joined their hands and is standing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Well, their tweets are enough for the support.
