Start of the new year 2017 saw this shameful act of mass molestation of girls on the eve that too in one of the most educated cities! Yes, we are talking about the Bengaluru case!
And, it is a shame that some of the politicians are defending the molesters and are not really taking up the stand.
“In events like New Year or Christmas Day, there are women who are harassed or treated badly. We take precautionary measures. But unfortunately, on days like New Year, a large number of youngsters gather on Brigade Road, Commercial Street and MG Road. And youngsters are almost like westerners. They try to copy the west, not only in their mindset but even in their dressing. So some disturbance, some girls are harassed, these kinds of things do happen.” Said Bengaluru Home Minister G Parameshwara.
Nothing can be done to make some people understand why such things are wrong and what is wrong in all these acts.
